Jump Rope Workout for Basketball Players
.png)
Jumping Rope is one of the best ways for basketball players to improve their footwork, agility, and coordination. I like to incorporate a jump rope into my workouts as a warm up as well as conditioning. The workout in the video below is a great way for players to warm up and prepare for doing on court work.
Do each drill in the video for 50-100 reps, or if you prefer to use a timer, do each one for 30 seconds to a minute. For the one legged drills, keep them to 30 seconds/the lower end of the rep range so as to not overwork your legs and avoid shin splints.
I hope you find this workout helpful and if you have any questions please feel free to ask them in the comments!
